ABRASSO Mind is a not-for-profit project that aims to provide professional, ethical, and confidential mental health care to the Latin and Portuguese-speaking community in Queensland at an affordable price.
The project was inspired by the successful experience of the BRACCA Mind program (www.bracca.org/braccamind) currently underway in NSW, which was developed due to the observed high incidence of mental health issues in the population of young immigrants and international students living in Australia.
Thus, due to the great success of BRACCA Mind, with the collaboration of the creators of the aforementioned project, ABRASSO (Australia Brazil Association of Queensland) developed ABRASSO Mind.

ABRASSO does not recommend, endorse or make any representation about the efficacy, appropriateness or suitability of any specific treatments, services or health care providers or other information that may be contained on or available through this website.
Many of the health professionals affiliated with ABRASSO Mind are independent practitioners. As a result, ABRASSO is not responsible for the care provided by these practitioners and recommends that users exercise their own skill and care with respect to their use of this service.
ABRASSO MIND operates as a non-profit program and currently, we rely on the generous support of volunteer psychologists and seek the community's assistance in executing this project. As such, ABRASSO MIND services are currently offered exclusively to ABRASSO members. Membership fees sustain ABRASSO’s ability to provide services, advocate for causes, and fulfil its mission, while psychological services costs support provisional psychologists' supervision sessions (supervision required by AHPRA).
